Lección de Vida #1

*sigh… I don’t know what reason I had to seriously consider dropping blogging for good? And I almost just did… *tsk *tsk

I officially conclude that I am mentally unstable, and hence have started taking backup of all the available digital print I have created so far and saved it elsewhere many where… lol *awkward chuckle*

As the post label says, I have almost nothing useful to put up over here… So it’s just me ranting in a professional manner?

I did my AMCAT on Saturday… It was mind soothing actually?!

There was this round called *Automata*, got 2 questions. Allowed to code in C,C++ or Java. All of which I wasn’t all that familiar with… *sigh. Took up all of the 75 mins to solve one and partially solve the other (in C ofc). I still have my internals going on? And I am drowning myself with all that linked list in C has to offer me…

That aside, in order that I have something connected with what I have mentioned in the post label/title, I have this story that I came up with when I was high on self-analyzing…for the past few days and I think it is polished enough for public display…? So here it goes?

Once upon a time, there was a Mad Scientist, I am gonna be a sexist and name him *Girl* keep track of it okay, who was very interested in collecting Data. Data regarding everything under the sun got him high. And ofc just like how most of us have preferences and priorities in what interests themselves, this Girl liked the tried-tested way of collecting Data. And the Data regarding the general flow of life interested him the most. He knew that, cause it was the only reason why he never stuck a knife through himself whenever he used one to cut the vegetables for dinner.

Right from when he was small, he always managed to come up with wired concepts and managed to back them up with reasonable, legal and applicable experiments to test it out on live subjects. This Girl always tested these concepts on Rats, since they were always around him and almost always easily available. He always used the Rats and discarded them when he deemed them useless after the experiment was done. Because he believed with all his Data, that more than one experiment can’t be applied on a single Rat, until one Rat happened.

This Rat was different from all the other Rats. Whatever this Girl did to it: hurt it, fondle it, scar it, feed it, let it run in a maze blind or anything you can possibly imagine being done to a Rat … the Rat came back to him forgetting almost everything, and he liked that. The power he had over that Rat, the amount of information he was able to cultivate with just one Rat was so mesmerizing that little did he realize that he was slowly becoming an addict to the Rat, and the thoughts related to the Rat was controlling him into evolving into a Data collecting lunatic with almost no moral.

Not one day passed by, with him not thinking about a wired experiment that could possibly destroy the Rat from the inside, and be finding legal means to implementing it. There was this interesting experiment he based on when the Rat underwent a surgery. A pretty delicate surgery. It was then when the Rat became void. It wasn’t reacting to what he was doing and he was frustrated, finding out where he went wrong if there was anything that he missed … cause it hit this Girl heavily in the gut when he finally realized that he felt something for the Rat! And it was humane, unlike the rest of his thought process.

Everything almost fell from then on, he ripped the Rat outta his system rendering the Rat almost dead cause he feared the amount of control the Rat had over his thoughts, which gave himself some time moving away from the routine that he had gotten accustomed to over a period of 2-3 years. He realized that he didn’t like the aftertaste of what he did and swore to himself that he will never do it again. But then, we all know how addiction works and so did our little Mad Scientist: Withdrawal Symptoms, and he was trying his best to prepare himself for it.

This Girl did prepare for the worst, and life did treat him kindly. But he started feeling things. And he wasn’t able to control it. He wasn’t getting comfortable with this new development of thought process. So what did he do? Well, this was all he could do: with all that he knew and collected over the years it was time to implement it. And there you have it the first withdrawal effect: This Girl started experimenting on himself. And it was going okay. At least at first.

Okay, that’s it for today, I’ll probably post the continuation sometime later? Don’t read too deep into the story… after all, it is but a story 😛 and is based on this character…Yokoya Norihiko from Liar Game!

Personal note to the future me… If I re-read this post again which I have a feeling I will?

Android Studio Post #4 @(・ꈊ・)@

With the basics done, I think I’ll put up a few pics of how to insert a sidebar and images… A gallery along with some toast messages maybe?

So, this is gonna be a new project. What I have done is: I created a project with the Navigation Drawer Activity. And the basic template is slowly transformed… very slowly transformed into iconic labels that open up fragmented activity maybe? I put a few images into the res folder, used a few predefined icons that were available, Well basically I just ended up playing with this thing all over again… *sigh So this is what I have done… Not much but enough for me to be occupied for almost an hour…*awkward chuckle*

So this was what I started with, I chose that layout and this was what I was endowed with!

I don’t know why that mail icon is annoying me, but the first thing I did was to remove it … *sigh

So with that outta the way, I looked through a few sites and realized that this is what is to be done to get what I wanted, surprisingly I am actually having a mental picture of the end product for a change? Okay, so some change to the sidebar and that green thing? Colour change?

I dropped it…

Android Studio Post #3 ⋋(๑☌▽☌๑)⋌

Something Basic for today? I hope this is basics enough, I think I worked on this initially.

I really don’t know what to do. I just Googled Android Studio and I got well… A lot of well-described info? So this post is just gonna be some pics. I also kinda don’t have time… since a certain someone was nagging me to do myself a favor by preparing for the internals that is going on… *sigh So here it goes, I guess?

How to start the Application I guess?

My system hanged since a lot of background processes are running, so the screenshot of that will be updated like later…maybe?

A little something on Intents and Button transition since I don’t feel that this is enough info for a Basics post? This includes a little of Java coding (a concept called intent) and placing of objects in the XML file. Maybe I’ll color the background according to the button name?

Maybe I should have used different layout for each of the Actitvity?

Okay, I think it’s best to leave this place before I end up getting high on this… *sigh me and my wired infatuations… So later maybe..?

Random Language Exploited #4

Ruby is a dynamic, object-oriented and reflective programming language. There are so many free and paid tutorials on the internet for learning Ruby. I used as much as I can of all of those available tutorials and well… I managed to come up with enough content to post under this label. I am still on the hunt of all those Android Studio notes, I probably might have discarded them… *sigh

So that being said, why did I learn Ruby? Besides the fact that I was jobless enough to bother myself with another language, we happened to have a workshop on RubyOnRails (Life wasn’t treating me properly at that time so I never attended it… *awkward chuckle*). So since I missed it and since almost all of my class went for it (just so that they can bunk the class) I thought I’ll collect data on it. I thought they were the same, I wasn’t that off the mark though…?

So what’s the difference? Well, for starters Ruby is a programming language and ROR is a FullStack web development framework thing? Not much different right? Ruby was the language used to build ROR and a bunch of other supplementaries? I hope I am not that far from the actual thing?

So that is the founder of the language? Somehow almost all who made a language happen to think of the same thing? This kinda had me wondering about our Natural Language with all its varieties?

I came across these notes I made when I was learning this language while I was searching for the Android Studio notes that I am pretty sure I made … *sigh and well I thought why not and well this post is made I guess?

Since the time allotted for this post is almost done, I will move on and put up the few links that I used, and well help yourself … maybe?

Android Studio Post #2 (๑ↀᆺↀ๑)

Android is an open source and Linux-based operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Android was developed by the Open Handset Alliance, led by Google, and other companies. Android programming is based on Java programming language so if you have a basic understanding in Java programming then it will be a fun to learn Android application development. Or so I was told?

I found a bunch of Android this and Android that… in this link and almost all the links that I found … So I am gonna skip that…?

How to install and check if it is properly working? I kinda vaguely remember that I had a bunch of probs when I first installed Android Studio. There was a lot of Java path probs, pretty common in Windows Systems I guess? Well, there was something about SDK, JVM path, HAXM, JDK and some random probs. There was a time I seriously considered changing the OS for some time, I think I deleted my then current user, created a new user named Android (which I still use) and then almost everything just fell into place… lol? I am just gonna assess that as one of those windows moments and move on… *sigh

But whatever it was, once installed it worked smooth as whatever-is-supposed-to-be-smooth till now. So yeah good luck on getting it up and running?
Moving on, given any other day I would be more than happy to jot down the things I did to learn Android Studio, but I am gonna be frank and let you know that I don’t remember what I did to get whatever I did? So technically I am just learning the whole thing all over again? *sigh…
I am just gonna give myself more time to find those lost mad scientists notes and put it up here as an update… if I remember about it ?

Android Studio Post #1 (◕ᴥ◕)

I am not sure what made me choose this kinda layout for this post, probably has some hidden message for the future me to have something to laugh at?

Okay, So why Android Studio? Well, I am moving on from Psychology and maybe that has got a major role as to why I will be putting up some creepy quotes up in all the posts to follow? And Android Studio was something I learnt in college for the lab. I even managed to do a few projects? Maybe I will use this time to put a few projects disected as much as possible? So that I don’t forget what I tinkered with. I will be using github… probably?

How will this series be? Well I am planning for it to be less time consuming, cause I have something going on that is demanding a lot more than actually planned brain space… so yeah… these will be way too short for my liking. You can probably find a few links that I used to learn this tech on my own prior to being taught at college? And some ranodomized rantings that will be tunned down so that I don’t end up annoying myself and aide me in deciding to drop blogging for good?!

So Android Studio. You probably need to know Java… a lot if you wanna work with Android Studio atleast? Well thers Java for the logic of the activity and XML for the basic layouts. You could probably run code of other langs and from libraries by wrapping them up or something along those lines. I have done that once after managing to fail like miserably for a few times. I think that will be the final project that I will manage to disect under this label.

So for now, I am just gonna go search where I have the copies of the projects, and maybe if I am lucky enough I might also find some notes that I made while learning this… well you know, just my usual mad scientists notes? And well, below are few links that you should probably give a light reading if you wanna grasp the theory concepts of Android programming by its horns?

Psychology Post #7 Power of thoughts?

Came across this quote when I was in my forming years (fresh outta school and into college, thought I will put it up here before it also goes into oblivion) meaning what I am, revolves around this thought!

Before I proceed with some asinine post on this kinda old enough concept, almost all of what made me what I am right now is this… as cheesy as it sounds that is the *truth*?

( ´⍪⌂⍪`)

Thinking ,the process of having a thought, is usually a mixture of words, sentences, mental images, and sensations. Thoughts are visitors, who visit the central station of the mind. They come, stay a while, and then disappear, making space for other thoughts. Some of these thoughts stay longer, gain power, and affect the life of the person thinking them and if powerful enough those around them. I am just gonna be creepy and let you know that thoughts can also stay in a place and not only in minds like it is supposed to be. Probably the origin of ghosts and other supernatural beings?

Have you, like most people, let thoughts connected with worries, fears, anger or unhappiness occupy your mind most of the time? Have you kept occupying your mind with the inner conversation about negative situations and actions? Such inner conversation eventually, affects the subconscious mind, which accepts them as real. Why did I only mention the negatives? Well, that is how most of us are… blowing up the negatives and busy brooding over it that we actually miss the positives as the pass by… just like how the negatives also pass by?

It is of vital importance to be careful of what goes into the subconscious mind. Words and thoughts that are repeated often get stronger by the repetitions, sink into the subconscious mind and affect the behavior, actions, and reactions of the person involved. The subconscious mind regards the words and thoughts that get lodged inside it as expressing and describing a real situation and therefore endeavors to align the words and thoughts with reality. It works diligently to make these words and thoughts a reality in the life of the person saying or thinking them.

This means that if you often tell yourself that it is difficult or impossible to acquire money, the subconscious mind will accept your words and put obstacles in your way. If you keep telling yourself that you are rich, it will find ways to bring you opportunities to get rich, and push you towards taking advantage of these opportunities. Couldn’t think of anything less personal than this…?

The thoughts that you express through your words shape your life. This is often done unconsciously, as few pay attention to their thoughts and the words they use while thinking, and let outside circumstances and situations determine what they think about. In this case, there is no freedom. Here, the outside world affects the inner world. And the inner world is something that is extremely delicate and easily manipulated depending on how you are brought up?

Okay, I am done with this… I don’t know why I thought this just might make sense… *sigh Well I tried? maybe just maybe I’ll have a better understanding of what goes on in my mind as time passes by?
